I have noticed that my site visitors leave in less than a minute (I used awstats to see analyse the traffic stats).

What does it mean? What time on average is considered good? Is less than a minute a bad time? If so, how to improve?



How much time and percentage is considered good, normal & bad?

I have considered the posibility that visitors simply find what they look for right away and move on. Does this make any sense?

Hard to give an answer without looking at your site first. There are a lot of factors influencing the duration of the stay.

Is it important for the visitors to stay on your site longer then they actually do? Sometimes, the faster they click, the faster you get a lead!
After all, is your goal to keep visitors on the site or to pass them on?Visitors can spend minutes reading articles and then leave your site without even checking the services you represent.

After all this said, if you still think that it is crucial to keep the visitors on your site longer, work on your content. An improved quality content will definitely catch an eye of a visitor.
