CPA or Revenue Share? 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi all,

I am new and have tones of questions. I see that usually there are two commission options with forex affiliate programs - cpa or revenue share.

I don't have a website yet, but I am working on some ideas. I have tones of questions. Here are just some of them:

I was curious what kind of revenue can I expect as a beginner?

Should I go for cpa instead? Or it is better to think big and hope for a long term commitment?

What deal do you use?

CPA or Cost Per Acquisition is a fee you get for every real forex trader that you send to the affiliate program. Usually the trader needs to make a certain amount of trades before the CPA is approved. This is done to prevent fraud.

Revenue Share is the percentage of the affiliate program's profit from a referred trader. This is not one time thing - you get paid as long as the trader trades. Usually the revenue share varies from 10% to %30 percert.

Which one is better? I personally prefer revenue share, because CPA just looks better, while in fact you get paid onces while the affiliate program will earn money on that trader for ages!!!! The revenue share might be small in the beginning, but if you are patient and hard working, you will see the difference. In the long run, you earn more with revenue share.

With CPA you will never get paid (and will never know) the real value of a referred trader. My advice - stick to revenue share. In my experience, I have seen many affiliates switching from CPA to revenue share. Not so much the other way!

Once you try revenue share, you never go back... (hmmm.. it doesn't rhyme, but it is true!)

I think revenue share is better in the long run. With CPA you get paid once and that's it. What if the next month you don't bring any conversions? No money then!

I choose revenue.

No doubt hybrid plan (CPA and RevnueShare combined).

why?

Because this way you can actually optimize between small players (where CPA is better) and larger deposits (where Rev Share is better).

Choose the companies that allow you this option - to my knowledge, FXClix.com and FXcast.net.
