Running email marketing campaigns is a great way to attract more visitors to your forex website and potential customers. The problem arises when the results of the campaigns are not satisfactory. What can possibly be a reason for failed email campaigns? Are there ways to improve the performance and get the maximum outcome?
One of the reasons for an unsuccessful email campaign is the subject line. Below are several tips to create an email with the catchy subject line that is hard not to open:
1. Short, Punchy and Simple!
Stop beating around the bush and simplify your subject line into maximum of 80 characters. Avoid writing blog-like titles, because with emails you don’t have to think about keywords and google ranking – it is all about getting you email opened.
Here is couple of examples:
· Learn to make more profit at forex
· Special bonus for forex traders
2. Don’t Tell Lies
Be honest about what your email is about. Of course, you don’t have to expose the whole idea of the message. Try to lure them with benefits, tell them what they will learn:
· Avoid these common pitfalls in forex
· Do this to minimize trading risks
3. Bring in Anticipation
We are curious beings! Build the anticipation in your readers – by opening your message they will learn something useful, which will dramatically improve their trading skills, or receive a limited offer that only special members get! We all love to get VIP treatment!
Make sure that your subject line suggests something special, quick and easy. Highlight the benefits.

4. Stay within Forex
If you have forex trading website, don’t start sending your members messages about binary options, for example. Your users signed up for Forex Tips and it is highly unlikely that they would want to read about stocks, binary options, or stock betting. By sending off-topic emails, your readers might search for unsubscribe link faster than you can blink.
5. Question Marks, Exclamation and Dots
The proper use of question marks and exclamation points can create curiosity in the mind of a reader. You can even combine the two:
· Still Losing in Forex Trading?!
· Who are Forex Top Traders?
You can also leave your readers curious about the ending of the sentence with the triple dot:
· Checkout these new forex strategies for…
6. Rate and Compare
Everyone just Love Top 10 Lists! The simplicity and evaluation of the lists bring all the necessary information that cannot be achieved by paragraphs. No one has time to read these days!
7. Say My Name!
There is something comforting to hear our name. Adding the recipient’s name to the subject makes the message much more personalized and clickable.
Surely, subject line isn’t everything. However with an average of just 30% email-opening rate, your agenda is to get those readers to click through your offers and convert. Without a great subject like that inspires traders to open emails, there is no chance of getting a true converting click.
